Install Flipset (free)#

  1. In your dashboard open Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  2. Search for Flipset, then click Install Now and Activate.
  3. You land on Flipset → Dashboard with a short setup checklist.

Prefer a manual install? Download the zip from WordPress.org, upload the flipset folder to /wp-content/plugins/ and activate it on the Plugins screen.

Install Flipset Pro#

Flipset Pro is an add-on. Keep Flipset (free) active — Pro extends it and does nothing on its own.

  1. Download flipset-pro.zip from your customer account after purchase.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Install Now.
  3. Click Activate. New screens appear under the Flipset menu: Pro Settings, Protected Links, Access, Analytics, Hotspots and Document categories.
  4. Open Flipset → Pro Settings → License to see which features your licence includes.

Updating#

The free plugin updates from WordPress.org like any other plugin. Update Flipset Pro from the Plugins screen when an update is offered, or upload the new zip from your account (WordPress asks to replace the current version). Settings, saved embeds, analytics and protected files are kept across updates.

What activation changes#

  • Flipset adds one option (flipset_settings) and a private post type for saved embeds.
  • Flipset Pro creates its own database tables for analytics and leads on activation.
  • Nothing is sent to any server. See Privacy & data.

Uninstalling#

Deactivating keeps everything. Deleting the plugin from the Plugins screen removes its data:

  • Flipset removes its settings, saved embeds, Flipset post and user meta and the thumbnails it generated. Your PDFs and other media stay.
  • Flipset Pro moves every protected file back to its original folder, then drops its tables, links and settings. Reading progress and bookmarks in user meta are kept.

Deactivating Pro without deleting it leaves protected files protected. On Apache their Media Library URLs stay blocked until Pro is active again.
